Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Maternité by Léon Indenbaum was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2020. The price achieved of GBP 17,640.00 (€ 19,705.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Léon Indenbaum - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Artist'S Wife And Daughter, which sold at auction in June 2013 for GBP 61,875.00 (€ 72,219.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Maternité von Léon Indenbaum kam im Dezember 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 17.640,00 (€ 19.705,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Léon Indenbaum mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Artist'S Wife And Daughter beobachtet, die im Juni 2013 für GBP 61.875,00 (€ 72.219,21) versteigert wurde.
