In June 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings Including German, Austrian and Central European Paintings, The Orientalist Sale, Spanish Painting and the Scandinavian Sale, which included the work French danae by Léon François Comerre. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 18,750.00 (€ 22,801.75), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Léon François Comerre achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French Le Triomphe Du Cygne in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 240,500.00 (€ 336,762.22).

Im Juni 2010 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings Including German, Austrian and Central European Paintings, The Orientalist Sale, Spanish Painting and the Scandinavian Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit French danae von Léon François Comerre zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 22.801,75) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Léon François Comerre erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French Le Triomphe Du Cygne im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 240.500,00 (€ 336.762,22).
