Auction result well in line with expectations
The work French Judith by Léon François Comerre was sold in the 19th Century European Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in May 2018. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,693.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Léon François Comerre achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French Le Triomphe Du Cygne in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 240,500.00 (€ 336,762.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit French Judith von Léon François Comerre wurde im Mai 2018 in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.693,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Léon François Comerre erzielen.
