Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Leon Golub achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Online in March 2018. In the Contemporary Art Online auction, the work Untitled (Standing Figure), 'Circa' 1963 sold for USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,116.88) - well above the upper estimate of USD 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leon Golub achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work White Squad X in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 197,000.00 (€ 158,385.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Leon Golub erzielte im März 2018 bei Sothebys in Online einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Online wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Standing Figure), 'Circa' 1963 für USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.116,88) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leon Golub erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit White Squad X im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 197.000,00 (€ 158.385,59).
