Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Rape of Ganymede by Lelio Orsi was auctioned at Christies in London in July this year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 27,720.00 (€ 32,340.84) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lelio Orsi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Leda And The Swan in January 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,497,000.00 (€ 1,008,692.14).

Die Arbeit The Rape of Ganymede von Lelio Orsi kam im Juli diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 27.720,00 (€ 32.340,84) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lelio Orsi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Leda And The Swan im Januar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.497.000,00 (€ 1.008.692,14).
