The work Leda And The Swan by Lelio Orsi was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2008. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,497,000.00 (€ 1,008,692.14) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,000,000.00 – 1,500,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Leda And The Swan is the most expensive artwork by Lelio Orsi that we have observed at auctions so far.
