Artwork auctioned at eight times the upper estimate price
When the work Leda and the swan by Lelio Orsi was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in June 2011, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - SEK 150,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than eight times as high at SEK 1,250,000.00 (€ 136,507.61). Admittedly, works by Lelio Orsi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Leda And The Swan in January 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,497,000.00 (€ 1,008,692.14).
Kunstwerk zum Achtfachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Leda and the swan von Lelio Orsi im Juni 2011 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – SEK 150.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit SEK 1.250.000,00 (€ 136.507,61) mehr als achtmal so hoch. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lelio Orsi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Leda And The Swan im Januar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.497.000,00 (€ 1.008.692,14).
