Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2010 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master Drawings, which included the work Design For A Wall Decoration by Lelio Orsi. It changed hands for a price of USD 21,250.00 (€ 15,320.84) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 18,000.00 – 22,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lelio Orsi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Leda And The Swan in January 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,497,000.00 (€ 1,008,692.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2010 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Design For A Wall Decoration von Lelio Orsi zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 21.250,00 (€ 15.320,84) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 18.000,00 – 22.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lelio Orsi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Leda And The Swan im Januar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.497.000,00 (€ 1.008.692,14).
