Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2020 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work After by Leelee Kimmel. The »bidding war« ended at USD 30,000.00 (€ 25,479.87), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leelee Kimmel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work No. 8 in May last year with an auction result of USD 277,200.00 (€ 258,317.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit After von Leelee Kimmel zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 25.479,87) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leelee Kimmel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit No. 8 im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 277.200,00 (€ 258.317,03).
