Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Lee Kit achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2017. In the Contemporary Art – Day Sale auction, the work Untitled (Pink) sold for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 19,260.82) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lee Kit - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Johnson's- No More Tears, which sold at auction in March 2015 for HKD 437,500.00 (€ 52,543.99).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lee Kit erzielte im Oktober 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art – Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Pink) für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 19.260,82) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Lee Kit mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Johnson's- No More Tears beobachtet, die im März 2015 für HKD 437.500,00 (€ 52.543,99) versteigert wurde.
