Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2019 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Pond'S - Pore White by Lee Kit. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 212,500.00 (€ 24,288.44). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lee Kit - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Johnson's- No More Tears, which sold at auction in March 2015 for HKD 437,500.00 (€ 52,543.99).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pond'S - Pore White von Lee Kit zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 212.500,00 (€ 24.288,44) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Lee Kit mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Johnson's- No More Tears beobachtet, die im März 2015 für HKD 437.500,00 (€ 52.543,99) versteigert wurde.
