Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2020 Phillips in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in Association with Poly Auction, which included the work Always by Lee Kit. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 69,300.00 (€ 7,309.65), 16% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Lee Kit have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Johnson's- No More Tears in March 2015 with an auction result of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 52,543.99).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Phillips in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in Association with Poly Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Always von Lee Kit zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 69.300,00 (€ 7.309,65) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lee Kit auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Johnson's- No More Tears im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 437.500,00 (€ 52.543,99).
