Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Danaid by Lee Byung Ho was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2013. The price achieved of HKD 68,750.00 (€ 6,518.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lee Byung Ho - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Volume up Venus, which sold at auction in May 2009 for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 15,981.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Danaid von Lee Byung Ho kam im November 2013 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 68.750,00 (€ 6.518,26) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Lee Byung Ho mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Volume up Venus beobachtet, die im Mai 2009 für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 15.981,17) versteigert wurde.
