The work Prayer by Lee Byung Ho was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2012. It achieved a price of HKD 60,000.00 (€ 6,250.40), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 33%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lee Byung Ho - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Volume up Venus, which sold at auction in May 2009 for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 15,981.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Prayer von Lee Byung Ho kam im Mai 2012 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 60.000,00 (€ 6.250,40) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 33%. Für andere Arbeiten von Lee Byung Ho mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Volume up Venus beobachtet, die im Mai 2009 für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 15.981,17) versteigert wurde.
