Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Lee Byung Ho could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work A Couple - An Artist And The Muse changed hands for HKD 125,000.00 (€ 11,851.39) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 130,000.00 – 230,000.00. Other works by Lee Byung Ho have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in May 2009 by the work Volume up Venus at HKD 175,000.00 (€ 15,981.17).
