Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Lee Bae was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 180,000.00 – 280,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 22,900.49) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Lee Bae have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Issu du feu 51 - 2002 in October last year with an auction result of EUR 118,080.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Lee Bae kam im November 2015 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 180.000,00 – 280.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 22.900,49) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lee Bae auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Issu du feu 51 - 2002 im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 118.080,00.
