Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Phillips in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included this untitled work by Lee Bae. It changed hands for a price of HKD 241,300.00 (€ 28,253.76) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lee Bae have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Issu du feu 51 - 2002 in October last year with an auction result of EUR 118,080.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Phillips in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Lee Bae zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 241.300,00 (€ 28.253,76) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lee Bae auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Issu du feu 51 - 2002 im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 118.080,00.
