Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work 20J07 & 17F08 by Lee Bae for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 25,486.74). This price was achieved in the auction Asian Contemporary Sale (Day Sale) at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Lee Bae have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Issu du feu 51 - 2002 in October last year with an auction result of EUR 118,080.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit 20J07 & 17F08 von Lee Bae für HKD 275.000,00 (€ 25.486,74) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Sale (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lee Bae auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Issu du feu 51 - 2002 im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 118.080,00.
