Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Israeli & International Art, which included this untitled work by Lea Nikel. The »bidding war« ended at USD 30,000.00 (€ 22,751.40), 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lea Nikel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in December 2014 for USD 56,250.00 (€ 46,483.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Israeli & International Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Lea Nikel zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 22.751,40) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Lea Nikel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Dezember 2014 für USD 56.250,00 (€ 46.483,76) versteigert wurde.
