A top price for Le Corbusier - as previously expected
In November 2015 Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale, which included the work Femme rouge et pelote verte by Le Corbusier. The price achieved of USD 4,645,000.00 (€ 4,397,841.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000,000.00 – 6,000,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Femme rouge et pelote verte is the most expensive artwork by Le Corbusier that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im November 2015 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Femme rouge et pelote verte von Le Corbusier zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.645.000,00 (€ 4.397.841,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000.000,00 – 6.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Femme rouge et pelote verte das teuerste Kunstwerk von Le Corbusier, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
