Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2007 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction 20th Century British & Irish Art, which included the work History'S Paper Tower by Lawrence Preece. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,560.00 (€ 2,314.96) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Lawrence Preece have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2007 the work Pegwell Bay Today was auctioned for GBP 1,680.00 (€ 2,493.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2007 führte Sothebys in Olympia die Auktion 20th Century British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit History'S Paper Tower von Lawrence Preece zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.560,00 (€ 2.314,96) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Lawrence Preece konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juni 2007 die Arbeit Pegwell Bay Today für GBP 1.680,00 (€ 2.493,04) versteigert.
