Auction result well in line with expectations
In July this year Christies in Paris held the auction First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Branches By The Lake by Laurens Legiers. The price achieved of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 5,880.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Laurens Legiers have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Four Ships in September last year with an auction result of USD 44,100.00 (€ 45,078.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Christies in Paris die Auktion First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Branches By The Lake von Laurens Legiers zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.040,00 (€ 5.880,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Laurens Legiers auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Four Ships im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 44.100,00 (€ 45.078,20).
