Here, the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 43,750.00 (€ 38,954.68). Admittedly, works by Laurens Craen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life With A Lobster On A Pewter Plate, Lemons, Grapes, Apricots, Oysters And A Gold-Mounted Blue And White Porcelain Ewer, All On A Wooden Table Top With A Swallowtail Butterfly in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 506,500.00 (€ 369,303.68).
