This artwork by Laurens Craen achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2001. In the OLD MASTER PICTURES auction, the work A lobster on a pewter plate, a crayfish, a vine decorating a Delft earthenware jug and a façon-de-Venise wine glass on a draped table sold for EUR 99,875.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 55,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Laurens Craen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life With A Lobster On A Pewter Plate, Lemons, Grapes, Apricots, Oysters And A Gold-Mounted Blue And White Porcelain Ewer, All On A Wooden Table Top With A Swallowtail Butterfly, which sold at auction in January 2011 for USD 506,500.00 (€ 369,303.68).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Laurens Craen erzielte im November 2001 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion OLD MASTER PICTURES wurde die Arbeit A lobster on a pewter plate, a crayfish, a vine decorating a Delft earthenware jug and a façon-de-Venise wine glass on a draped table für EUR 99.875,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 55.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Laurens Craen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still Life With A Lobster On A Pewter Plate, Lemons, Grapes, Apricots, Oysters And A Gold-Mounted Blue And White Porcelain Ewer, All On A Wooden Table Top With A Swallowtail Butterfly beobachtet, die im Januar 2011 für USD 506.500,00 (€ 369.303,68) versteigert wurde.
