Folio (425 x 360mm). 20 photogravures on coloured and metallic paper, original guards. (Some spotting, mainly on edges and index leaf.) Original spiral-bound black and white textured paper-covered boards, front cover ruled and lettered in silver (lacking the slipcase, spotting on covers and blanks, a few short tears and light wear).
FIRST EDITION. 'SUMPTUOUS... A CLASSIC ART DECO PHOTOBOOK' (The Photobook). A luxurious production, the images shimmering against the metallic and coloured papers on which they are printed. Micrographie décorative is a rare collaboration not only between scientist and photographer but also between husband and wife. One of 305 copies only, this one number 58. Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2010 Christies in London held the auction Photobooks, which included the work Micrographie décorative. Paris: Draeger Frères, 1931. by Laure Albin-Guillot. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,393.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Laure Albin-Guillot have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Orchidées, 1927Vintage Carbon Fresson Print On Metalised Golden Paper Flush-Mounted To Original Card. Signed. Stamped And With The Photographer'S Address Label And Exihibition Label On The Reverse. Mounted. in May 2013 with an auction result of EUR 32,500.00.

Im Mai 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Photobooks durch, in der auch die Arbeit Micrographie décorative. Paris: Draeger Frères, 1931. von Laure Albin-Guillot zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.393,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden.
