Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Untitled Male Nude by Laure Albin-Guillot was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in August last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 1,275.00 (€ 1,266.77). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Laure Albin-Guillot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Orchidées, 1927Vintage Carbon Fresson Print On Metalised Golden Paper Flush-Mounted To Original Card. Signed. Stamped And With The Photographer'S Address Label And Exihibition Label On The Reverse. Mounted. in May 2013 with an auction result of EUR 32,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Untitled Male Nude von Laure Albin-Guillot im August letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 1.275,00 (€ 1.266,77) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Laure Albin-Guillot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Orchidées, 1927Vintage Carbon Fresson Print On Metalised Golden Paper Flush-Mounted To Original Card. Signed.
