Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included this untitled work by Laura Owens. The price achieved of USD 177,800.00 (€ 167,989.42) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Laura Owens have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 1,755,000.00 (€ 1,475,037.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Laura Owens zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 177.800,00 (€ 167.989,42) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Laura Owens auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.755.000,00 (€ 1.475.037,82).
