Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Laura Knight could be acquired at Bonhams in New York in September this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner auction, the work Trio Gymnastique changed hands for USD 166.40 (€ 157.22) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 250.00 – 350.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Laura Knight achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wind And Sun in July 2009 with an auction result of GBP 914,850.00 (€ 1,038,080.52).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Laura Knight konnte im September diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner wechselte die Arbeit Trio Gymnastique für USD 166,40 (€ 157,22) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 250,00 – 350,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Laura Knight erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wind And Sun im Juli 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 914.850,00 (€ 1.038.080,52).
