Auction result misses estimated price range
In September this year a collector was able to acquire the work Juanita by Laura Knight for USD 204.80 (€ 193.50). This price was achieved in the auction Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner at Bonhams in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 250.00 – 350.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Laura Knight achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wind And Sun in July 2009 with an auction result of GBP 914,850.00 (€ 1,038,080.52).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Juanita von Laura Knight für USD 204,80 (€ 193,50) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner bei Bonhams in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 250,00 – 350,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Laura Knight erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wind And Sun im Juli 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 914.850,00 (€ 1.038.080,52).
