Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Turn the left foot back a little, then jog very quickly, and close the eyes to regain memory by Latifa Echakhch was auctioned at Christies in Paris in June 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 60,000.00 – 8,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 103,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Latifa Echakhch have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2015 the work Sitting on Haunches Behind the Bushes Until There is No Longer Any Noise and Breathing Slowly. Then Stand Up and Walk Away was auctioned for GBP 134,500.00 (€ 182,644.53).
