Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work N.Y., 1961 by Larry Fink for USD 937.50 (€ 722.65). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs Including Crossing America: Photographs from The Consolidated Freightways Collection, Part II at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Larry Fink achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 82 Photographs 1974 To 1982, (Social Graces) in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 48,000.00 (€ 38,022.81).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit N.Y., 1961 von Larry Fink für USD 937,50 (€ 722,65) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs Including Crossing America: Photographs from The Consolidated Freightways Collection, Part II bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Larry Fink erzielen.
