Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Meryl Streep & Natalie Portman, Oscar Party, Los Angeles by Larry Fink was auctioned at Lempertz in Cologne in June this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,512.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Larry Fink achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 82 Photographs 1974 To 1982, (Social Graces) in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 48,000.00 (€ 38,022.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Meryl Streep & Natalie Portman, Oscar Party, Los Angeles von Larry Fink kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Lempertz in Köln zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.512,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Larry Fink erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 82 Photographs 1974 To 1982, (Social Graces) im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 48.000,00 (€ 38.022,81).
