This artwork by Larry Cohen achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April 2021. In the Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art auction, the work View of the Coast Highway from Adelaide Drive, 2012 sold for USD 5,355.00 (€ 4,451.37) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Larry Cohen; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot View From The California Incline, 2006 sold at auction in May 2019 with the realized price of USD 6,950.00 (€ 6,233.74).
