Auction result misses estimated price range
In May last year a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled from Tulsa by Larry Clark for GBP 378.00 (€ 444.68). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Phillips in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Larry Clark achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Selections from Teenage Lust (1968-75) in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 56,400.00 (€ 66,462.41).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled from Tulsa von Larry Clark für GBP 378,00 (€ 444,68) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Larry Clark erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Selections from Teenage Lust (1968-75) im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 56.400,00 (€ 66.462,41).
