Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Bonhams held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California Part II Online, which included the work VF 46, 1978 by Larry Bell. The price achieved of USD 3,840.00 (€ 3,628.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Larry Bell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 623,400.00 (€ 400,642.67).
