This artwork by Lan Ying achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in July 2020. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Playing Flute on a Scenic Stream sold for HKD 4,205,000.00 (€ 460,714.29) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 2,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lan Ying have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscapes in March 2019 with an auction result of HKD 29,870,000.00 (€ 3,389,239.40).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lan Ying erzielte im Juli 2020 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Playing Flute on a Scenic Stream für HKD 4.205.000,00 (€ 460.714,29) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 2.000.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lan Ying auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscapes im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 29.870.000,00 (€ 3.389.239,40).
