The »bidding war« ended at GBP 35,000.00 (€ 41,098.56), 17% above the upper estimate. Other works by Lam Qua have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 73,072.64) in December 2016 for the work The verandah of Nathaniel Kinsman's residence at Macao, looking across the Praya Grande; and Nathaniel Kinsman's residence at Macao, seen from the Praya Grande.
