The »bidding war« ended at USD 27,500.00 (€ 20,883.96), 53% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Laila Shawa; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Children of War, Children of Peace sold at auction in February 2007 with the realized price of USD 38,400.00 (€ 29,024.94).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 20.883,96) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Laila Shawa; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Children of War, Children of Peace im Februar 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 38.400,00 (€ 29.024,94).
