Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Well by Laila Shawa was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2020. The price achieved of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 23,995.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. Other works by Laila Shawa have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2007 the work Children of War, Children of Peace was auctioned for USD 38,400.00 (€ 29,024.94).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 23.995,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden.
