Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year China Guardian held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Dragon Boat Festival by Lai Chusheng. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 26,400.00 (€ 3,383.05) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lai Chusheng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Various Subjects And Calligraphy in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 812,500.00 (€ 95,614.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte China Guardian die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dragon Boat Festival von Lai Chusheng zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 26.400,00 (€ 3.383,05) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lai Chusheng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Various Subjects And Calligraphy im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 812.500,00 (€ 95.614,40).
