Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu by Lai Chusheng was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016. The price achieved of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,224.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lai Chusheng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Various Subjects And Calligraphy in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 812,500.00 (€ 95,614.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu von Lai Chusheng kam im April 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 4.224,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lai Chusheng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Various Subjects And Calligraphy im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 812.500,00 (€ 95.614,40).
