Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work At the Doorway by Laura Theresa Alma-Tadema was sold in the European & British Art, Part I auction at Sothebys in London in July last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 81,900.00 (€ 97,803.15). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Laura Theresa Alma-Tadema - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Looking Out O'Window, Sunshine, which sold at auction in December 2015 for GBP 221,000.00 (€ 300,107.38).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit At the Doorway von Laura Theresa Alma-Tadema wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion European & British Art, Part I bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 81.900,00 (€ 97.803,15) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Laura Theresa Alma-Tadema mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Looking Out O'Window, Sunshine beobachtet, die im Dezember 2015 für GBP 221.000,00 (€ 300.107,38) versteigert wurde.
