Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Time-Black by Kwon Ki-Soo was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 106,250.00 (€ 11,963.91) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kwon Ki-Soo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red Table, which sold at auction in November 2012 for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 27,267.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Time-Black von Kwon Ki-Soo kam im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 106.250,00 (€ 11.963,91) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Kwon Ki-Soo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Red Table beobachtet, die im November 2012 für HKD 275.000,00 (€ 27.267,49) versteigert wurde.
