Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Kurt Seligmann could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in December 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Impressionist & Modern Art Online auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 500.00 (€ 436.45) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kurt Seligmann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Witches in February 2015 with an auction result of GBP 173,000.00 (€ 238,541.31).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kurt Seligmann konnte im Dezember 2018 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Online wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 500,00 (€ 436,45) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kurt Seligmann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Witches im Februar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 173.000,00 (€ 238.541,31).
