In April 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work Phantom Of The Past (Mason 116) by Kurt Seligmann. The result of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,375.03) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kurt Seligmann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Witches in February 2015 with an auction result of GBP 173,000.00 (€ 238,541.31).

Im April 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Prints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Phantom Of The Past (Mason 116) von Kurt Seligmann zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.375,03) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kurt Seligmann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Witches im Februar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 173.000,00 (€ 238.541,31).
