Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Asian Art, which included the work Along The Moat by Kuo Hsueh-Hu. The price achieved of HKD 62,500.00 (€ 7,041.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kuo Hsueh-Hu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Phalaenopsis orchird; A peaceful village; A rising sun, which sold at auction in May this year for HKD 176,400.00 (€ 21,143.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2016 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Along The Moat von Kuo Hsueh-Hu zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 62.500,00 (€ 7.041,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Kuo Hsueh-Hu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Phalaenopsis orchird; A peaceful village; A rising sun beobachtet, die im Mai diesen Jahres für HKD 176.400,00 (€ 21.143,50) versteigert wurde.
