Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Monk in the Forest by Kun Can was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2007. It changed hands for a price of HKD 487,500.00 (€ 42,616.42) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 400,000.00 – 500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kun Can achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sleeping On The Rock in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 5,290,000.00 (€ 544,620.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Monk in the Forest von Kun Can kam im November 2007 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 487.500,00 (€ 42.616,42) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 400.000,00 – 500.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kun Can erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sleeping On The Rock im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.290.000,00 (€ 544.620,91).
