Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2008 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Gazing at a Watefall by Kun Can. The price achieved of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 9,267.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kun Can achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sleeping On The Rock in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 5,290,000.00 (€ 544,620.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2008 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gazing at a Watefall von Kun Can zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 9.267,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kun Can erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sleeping On The Rock im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.290.000,00 (€ 544.620,91).
