Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Recluse In The Mountain by Kun Can was sold in the Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at POLY in Hong Kong in October 2014. The price achieved of HKD 472,000.00 (€ 48,593.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 400,000.00 – 500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kun Can achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sleeping On The Rock in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 5,290,000.00 (€ 544,620.91).

Die Arbeit Recluse In The Mountain von Kun Can wurde im Oktober 2014 in der Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 472.000,00 (€ 48.593,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 400.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kun Can erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sleeping On The Rock im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.290.000,00 (€ 544.620,91).
