Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Kumi Sugai was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2020. The price achieved of HKD 378,000.00 (€ 41,866.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Kumi Sugai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work KAGURA (Sacred Music and Dance) in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 293,000.00 (€ 277,409.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Kumi Sugai wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 378.000,00 (€ 41.866,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kumi Sugai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit KAGURA (Sacred Music and Dance) im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 293.000,00 (€ 277.409,58).
